2010 BELFRY 5K RUN/WALK

Our second annual 5k Run/Walk to help us help others was a success thanks to the participation and support of runners, walkers, volunteers, donors and sponsors.

 

The weather was perfect for running (overcast and cool) and spirits were high on Saturday morning as we gathered on the corner of Old River School Road and Irwingrove. Registered participants ranged in age from three to 86 and ability also covered the spectrum, from the highly competitive runner to the leisurely walker. Proceeds from our 2009 5k further the mission and ministries of the Moravian Church of Downey and help us continue to actively help others in our communities by building strong hearts (both the physical and spiritual) for God.

Tax receipts along with a thank you note are available at the church office now and will be mailed before the end of January.
