Supporting Moravian Disaster Response's relief efforts locally, nationally and worldwide
2010 is our 3rd Annual 5k Run/Walk to "Help Us Help Others." We're running (and walking) to support Moravian Board of World Mission's Moravian Disaster Response (MDR) and their disaster relief efforts in Haiti, Honduras, USA... worldwide! MDR facilitates congregations, organizations, and individuals, in flexible 
configurations, to become a mission team and respond to a disaster either locally, nationally or internationally. MDR is a ministry of Moravian Board of World Mission. Several major disasters have recently captured our attention (Earthquakes in Haiti and Chile, clean up efforts still taking place after Hurricanes Felix and Katrina and in Honduras to name a few) and our prayers are with those affected. This year, rather than support just one cause, we decided to support the work of a group that responds to many needs - both at home and abroad. We're planning to use part of the proceeds to send a contractor with Moravian Disaster Response to help with rebuilding efforts in Haiti.
